A non-equijoin uses an operator other than the equality operator in the join.
Examples of non-equality operators are:

  1. not-equal (<>),
  2. less than (<),
  3. greater than (>),
  4. less than or equal to (<=),
  5. greater than or equal to (>=),
  6. LIKE,
  7. IN, and
  8. BETWEEN.
